How to create your Shopify custom app
1. Create the app
In your Shopify admin, create a new app and select Create Storefront. Give the connection a name.
2. Open Storefront API access
Under Manage API access, find Storefront API and click Manage.
3. Check your permissions
Scroll to Storefront API permissions and click the pencil icon to edit. Most are on by default, but make sure these two are ticked:
unauthenticated_read_product_inventory
unauthenticated_read_selling_plans
Save your changes.
Common questions
Why does Frameship need a custom app?
The custom app gives Frameship a Storefront API token. That token is how it reads your products, collections and variants. You only set it up once.
My stock levels or subscriptions aren't showing in Framer
Check the two permissions above. One covers inventory, the other covers selling plans. Both are easy to miss because they aren't ticked by default.
